Background

I worked with Octane PR, on behalf of their client DC Mayor Muriel Bowser’s “You Matter. Get Counted.” DC Census 2020 Campaign, to create various graphics and animations to be posted on the initiative’s Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.

The “You Matter. Get Counted.” DC Census 2020 Campaign worked to ensure that DC residents understood why the census matters and the various ways to complete the census (online, by phone, or by mail), as well as encourage them to complete the census when the time came.

I designed graphics illustrating important facets of the census such as: safety of all information provided, various ways to complete the census, and when to expect correspondences in the mail. All copy provided, social media content posted, and community management handled by Octane PR.

Design Style

Incorporating existing brand guidelines, I worked to create an illustration style that was both simple and friendly, in order to focus on the census information being conveyed either within the graphic or in the caption.
